 | James Spence was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1965. He played golf in his formative years at East Renfrewshire Golf Club and Western Gailes on the Ayrshire coast before attending St. Andrews University where he divided his time unequally between the Moral Philosophy department, the Old Course and the Jigger Inn. Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant in London in 1989, James moved to Asia in 1990 and where he worked for several financial institutions. In 2004 he wrote "Asia's Top 50 Golf Courses" which was commissioned by Deutsche Bank and is not available for public sale. The follow up edition "The Finest Courses of Asia & Australasia" was published in December 2005. He has contributed articles and photographs to Golf International, LINKS Magazine, Golf Monthly, Travel & Leisure Golf, DestinAsian, Discovery Magazine, Asian Golf Monthly, Slice, HKGolfer and the South China Morning Post. |
